Finding Balance Through Neurofeedback in New Haven

Much of my work is about helping clients understand their patterns, regulate emotions, and connect with themselves in new ways. But sometimes, even with deep insight and strong motivation, something inside still feels “stuck.”

That’s where neurofeedback comes in.

Neurofeedback is a way to help the brain learn to find its own balance. It’s not about controlling or forcing change, it’s about creating the right conditions for your brain to remember what calm and focus feel like. Using gentle, non-invasive sensors, we read your brain’s electrical activity and provide real-time feedback through sound or visuals. When your brain shifts toward healthier rhythms, it’s rewarded. Over time, it learns to return to those states naturally.

I’ve seen clients experience powerful shifts through this process. Some describe feeling clearer, more centered, or more resilient. Others notice they sleep better, feel less anxious, or are able to stay present in ways that used to feel out of reach.

Why I Brought Neurofeedback Into My Practice

For years, I’ve worked with clients who wanted to feel better but found that talking about what’s wrong wasn’t always enough. Our minds and bodies are deeply connected when our nervous systems are overactivated, it can be hard to process emotions, stay grounded, or feel safe.

Neurofeedback gives the nervous system a chance to practice regulation. It supports the work we do in therapy by helping the body catch up to the mind. It’s not a replacement, it’s a bridge.

Who It Can Help

Neurofeedback can be helpful for people who are:

  • Struggling with anxiety or chronic stress

  • Dealing with trauma or PTSD

  • Living with ADHD and difficulty focusing

  • Recovering from concussions or brain injuries

  • Having trouble sleeping or relaxing

And you don’t need to have a diagnosis to benefit. Many people simply use neurofeedback as a way to feel more grounded and resilient in daily life.
