Neurofeedback in the New Haven Area

Hi, I’m Morgan Jay Cummings. If you’ve worked with me before, or even if you’re just getting to know me, you know that I believe deeply in the power of therapy to change lives. Over the years, I’ve seen how understanding ourselves, processing our pain, and building new patterns can help us feel more grounded and whole.

But I’ve also learned something important: talk therapy isn’t the only path to healing. Sometimes, our nervous systems need more than words to find balance. That’s why I brought neurofeedback into my practice here in New Haven. It’s not a replacement for therapy; it’s an extension of it.

Why I Offer Neurofeedback

Think of neurofeedback as a way to help your brain learn to self-regulate, like teaching it how to hit the reset button when it’s been stuck in stress mode for too long.
When you come in for a session, we place small, non-invasive sensors on your scalp to read your brainwaves in real time. Then we give your brain gentle, immediate feedback through sound, video, or a game. When your brain shifts toward a healthier pattern, you get a reward. Your brain takes notice, and over time, it learns to return to those calm, focused states on its own.
I’ve seen clients use neurofeedback to find relief from anxiety, get better sleep, improve focus, and recover from trauma. For some, it helps therapy go deeper. For others, it simply makes day-to-day life feel more manageable and more joyful.

Who This Can Help

I often recommend neurofeedback for clients who are:

  • Struggling with anxiety, overwhelm, or burnout

  • Living with ADHD and needing better focus

  • Feeling stuck after trauma or PTSD

  • Dealing with chronic stress or insomnia

  • Recovering from concussions or brain injuries

But you don’t need a diagnosis to try neurofeedback. If you just feel “off,” too stressed, too scattered, or like your mind won’t slow down, this can be a gentle, science-backed way to support your mental well-being.

Your Invitation

If this sounds like something you’d like to explore, I’d love to sit down with you for a free consultation and talk about whether neurofeedback is right for you.
I now offer neurofeedback sessions right here in the same office where I see my therapy clients, through Lucid Flow Therapy, an extension of the work I already do.
You can schedule your consultation directly by visiting LucidFlowTherapy.com.

Your brain has the capacity to change. You don’t have to live in constant stress or struggle. Let’s give your mind the space to reset and find its natural rhythm again.
